Smash Sdn.Bhd is a new start-up business in badminton sport industry for badminton lovers and players in Malacca. Our company was founded by Sim Pei Xiu. She is the CEO and the owners of the Smash Sdn.Bhd. She was studied Bachelor of Business and Knowledge Management and graduated from Multimedia University Malacca in 1990. However, she has a passionate on sport industry, so she decided to start up a new business in badminton sport industry with her team members in 2020. We have discussed and selected a strategy location to locate our first sports centre which is close to the Multimedia University Malacca and surrounded by the residential area of Ayer Keroh. Our company’s location is in Ixora Arena Badminton Hall, Jalan Ixora, 4th and 5th floors, 75450 Ayer Keroh, Bukit Beruang, Malacca to attract more sport enthusiasts and stable source of customers.

Our mission is to enhance the booking process of sports centre become more convenient and more effective by reducing unnecessary booking procedure in order to avoid the time and resources of sports centre wasteful. We also to enhance customer services to put efforts to increase customers’ satisfaction and build a good relationship with the partners and the customers. Thus, we can have more customer base and increase the sales opportunities. Our vision is to become Malaysia’s leading sports company and inspire athletic achievement and enjoyment.

In our business concept, we are not operating our sports centre like other traditional badminton sports centre. We decided to create a service website and application to act as a middleman by bringing other sports centre owners in Malacca and the customers in one service website and application. The things that we different with most of the badminton sports centre are we gathered many kinds of useful functions in one services website and application through online such as online sports facilities booking system for customers, advertising for the badminton coach, the customer can purchase sports goods online and  our advanced customer services. We strive to position ourselves as a strategy partnership between other online sports centre in Malacca, badminton coaches, online payment agents as well as Maxx Sdn.Bhd, Yonex CO.LTD., Fleet Sdn.Bhd, Li-Ning company (as our supplier). These services haven’t founded in Malaysia yet in local sports industry so Smash Sdn.Bhd can establish itself as the leader in this service category and make the service more unique. We also performed a win- win solution to all parties involved. I will explain more details about how our company works in the daily operation.

Firstly, we would like to collaborate with other badminton sports centre such as Jebat Racquest sports centre, Ayer Keroh sports centre and Sports Complex sports centre and so on within Malacca area. We offers a business-to-business (B2B) and business-to-customers (B2C) solution to online sports centre partners by allowing the customers to online booking for the venue based on the date, time and venue selection through our service website and application. Once the customer has decided to book for a venue, they need to paid deposits first or full payments by choosing their favourite payment method through online in order to avoid them cancel the appointment suddenly. We should be ensuring that the customer pays the deposit first then he can successful to precede the booking process because this will avoid, we were facing the losses. Our services streamline the entire booking process so this will draw more revenue to all participating companies.

Secondly, we are not only having the offline physical shop and we also sell our products online through our service website and application that we created. Our products are including high performance shirts, badminton rackets, sneakers and so on. We become the sports accessories wholesaler by collaborated with the Maxx Sdn.Bhd, Yonex CO.LTD., Fleet Sdn.Bhd and Li-Ning company through purchase sport goods from them in bulk to get the cheaper prices than others for resell those goods on our website and application to gain lots of profits. When our staff was received the customer’s order, we will take down their information and where they would like the product to be shipped to. Then we will send an email to our customer thanking them for their order with the tracking number as well. In additions, the product will be shipped out to the customer that same day. This can increase our sales and expand our customer scope because our customer not only limited in Malacca area and we also can be shipped out our product to the customer around the Malaysia as well as the customer from the overseas.

Besides that, we have advanced customer services to maintain our daily operation smoothly. We have provided our office contact number, email address on our website as well as the customer can directly send messages to us by using WhatsApp on our website. Before the customers place their order, they would have questions to ask on specific product for our recommendations. Therefore, we will answer them quickly and correctly to increase the sales opportunities. On top of that, our services staffs are helping to handled well the customer’s problem and complaint towards our services between those online sports centre. This can increase the customer’s satisfaction, thus causing the expansion of online shoppers and sports industry.

Lastly, our service website also provided the advertisement for multiple badminton coaches. After they selected the advertising package that they want, we will provide their personal information on our website such as their picture, teaching experience, contact numbers and so on. We also have created a community group for the players who are alone needed to find a player or not enough players. This allows the customer to accurately match players or select group of partners.
